Killed 16 Iraqis and injured central Kirkuk detonated bombs

According to a police source in Kirkuk province Monday that 16 people had been killed and wounded, including four police blew up a motorcycle and a car bombing in downtown Kirkuk.

The source said that "a car bomb exploded this morning targeting a police patrol near the emergency Mohammadi Mosque in the ninety-central Kirkuk, wounding four members of the patrol and three civilians."

Adding that "a motorcycle bomb exploded near a garage in the Ras Dumez, city center, killing one civilian and wounding eight others were injured."

The source, who asked not to be named, told the media that "ambulances rushed to the scene to transport the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while the imposed security force cordoned off the accident area and prevented to approach it."

The province of Kirkuk, 250 km north of Baghdad, which is one of the disputed territories, witnessing acts of violence aimed at semi-continuous elements of the security services and civilians.
